2 - Why do you you know what I'm done with you

Dean felt his ears get warm with embarrassment. Well, yeah, maybe he was a bit too nervous. He didn't even fully grasp why this whole thing was so important to him, to be honest. He murmured an apology to his brother when Balthazar finally guided them into his room, and invited them to sit down.

"Please, as if it was your own place. Get comfortable", Balthazar said, smiling. Even though his smile did get a bit tired, as soon as he remembered why there were so many people in his room. "So, this is how everything went..." He summed up, for the second time that evening, all that had happened the day in which Castiel and their dad left their place, not leaving anything out. No, not even the porn star story *DIES* "... and this is pretty much all."

Charlie was just as struck as everyone else. "I'm... speechless, really. I don't think I've ever heard of someone more selfish and terrible!"

"They can only think about themselves", Balthazar agreed, sitting down on a free chair. He sighed, back curving under all the stress of those past days. "They just screwed up everything, and the only one who really suffered the consequences was Cas. I'm ok, I am out of that house, but he is subject to everything that happens in there."

Saying that Dean was angry would have been an understatement. His jaw was so tense he thought his teeth would break for how much he clenched them, his fists closed on his knees. "... if you want to fight them, I'm here. I will kick their teeth off!", he snarled, getting up.

Dean let out an "Ow!", but aside from glaring at Kalyan, he didn't really dare to tell him anything else. Like 'fuck off'. He just sat down, grumbling a bit while massaging the back of his head. Because let's face it, Kalyan was older than him, and judging by his looks, he was more than able to beat him to a pulp!

"Yeah, Dean - don't worsen our situation." Charlie rolled her eyes. "Men... always thinking about beating people up. But Sam's idea seems pretty clever! We could do that, and finally manage to speak to Castiel!"

Balthazar shrugged though. "That works fine with me. I just want Cas to know he's not alone, right now." He pulled out his phone, and dialed up his father's number. "At least he should know there are friends who have been looking for him."

Chuck, in his apartment, answered to to the call after a couple of rings. If Cas was around he could see him smile, and then blink a bit. He soon called for his son, looking a mix between confused and relieved. "Cas, it's Balth! It seems like there are some people who want to talk with you. Do you feel like it?"

The first to greet him of course was Balthazar, who definitely beamed at hearing his brother's voice. "Hello, Cas! How are you doing? Is everything alright there? Is dad annoying you too much already?", he joked.

"I'm happy to hear about the tests! I hope you're also finding time to rest, though", Balthazar said, reproaching him a bit. "Oh, you know me. I'm always doing fantastic. I can't possibly settle for less than that", he laughed. "Now that we're done with the pleasantries - when are you going to get a new phone? There are some friends of yours here that have been desperate to find you since the day you left!"

"DO ask. Or I will ask in your stead - and you know me well enough to know that I will do that." Balthazar looked at the three teenagers in front of him, and counted them on his fingers. "A cute redhead with an Harry Potter t-shirt, one who is too tall to fit through the doors and has fabulous hair, and a guy who looks like they just stepped all over his favourite leather jacket." He ignored Dean protesting with a loud 'HEY'. "These familiar to you? Are these 'Charlie' and 'Sam' among them, you think?"

Balthazar sighed, muttering something about being a secretary, and turned to Dean. "Why do you want to talk to him, he asks?" Dean opened his mouth to answer, but Charlie was quicker, talking out loud so that Castiel could hear her. "He wants to apologize about being a big dumbass idiot! Give him a chance Cas, he has been in a terribly broody mood for all these last days because he didn't have a chance to make things right!"

Balthazar chuckled, shaking his head. "Better be a nice souvenir, Cas", he said, before handing the phone to Dean.

Charlie threw Sam a big, big smile when she saw that it had indeed worked, mouthing a silent 'Yes he will owe me that'.
Dean rolled his eyes, even though he was smiling a little bit. "Yeah, fine. Big ice cream it is." He got a hold of the phone, suddenly feeling a bit self-conscious about having to apologize in font of all those people. But he took a deep breath, and finally answered to it. "Uhm. Hey, Cas", he started. "How... how are you doing?"

Charlie nodded to Kalyan and stood up, silently leaving the room along with Balthazar - that signed to Dean to be careful with his little brother, or else!

"Yeah, I... I've heard. I'm sorry." Dean sighed, then he took a deep breath. He steeled himself before talking - he had to wrap his mind around the fact that Castiel could also decide to not forgive him. He waited for the door to be closed, then finally blurted it all out. "Cas, I... I'm sorry. For all that you heard me say. Maybe you won't care, but - hear me out, ok?" He rubbed a hand over his face. "I was stupid. Hell, I was a big bag of dicks. I cared more about other people's opinion than about you, and I said all that stuff that I didn't even really think, and that's so stupid, because - you're a great guy, you know? You're honest, and you do stuff your own way, you don't care about what others think, you're... unique. Again, I'm sorry. I just want to make things right, and I don't know why."

Balthazar smiled at Kalyan. "Yes. It seems so." He sighed. "But he's still so far away. He probably still feels alone, more than ever, over there."

"I know I was a jerk. nd you don't deserve that, so... again. I'm sorry. I genuinely liked to be your friend, you know?" Dean felt the pressure on his shoulders get a bit lighter. "I'm... glad to hear that. Thanks." He paused, hesitating a bit. "When me and Sam didn't see you coming to school, I felt guilty. We came at your place that day... and I already wanted to apologize at the time, but we couldn't find you anymore."

Balthazar shook his head no. He had talked about it with Castiel already - he didn't fully agree with his decision, but he understood it. "He doesn't plan to. And he is right. He can't be displaced and replaced like a toy because he has some assholes brothers."

Dean gulped. And frowned a bit. "Hey, c'mon - don't be like that. We can still be friends, even if we don't go to school together, or live next to each other." He felt inexplicably sad now. Having to deal with the fact that Castiel was really not coming back, even if he was applogizing, was kind of a blow to him. Even though he was realizing it wasn't all his fault.

"That's a whole bunch of maybes", Balthazar laughed. "Oh, I'm not worried about not meeting him ever again. We get along well, and I wouldn't dream of having him flee from me forever!"

"... well, why not!" Dean paused. "... was that a no, though?" He was sure he was going to pass his stupid exam, no big deal. But those words Castiel was saying sounded scarily close to a 'Goodbye forever'!

"..." Balthazar seemed to reflect for a good, long minute. Then he brought a hand to his forehead, and started to speak in a very dramatic sobbing voice. "Oh woe me, I am so sad in this very moment as you reminded me I could never see my little brother ever again! If only there was a way for me to smile again, like a handsome man willing to kiss me", he drawled out, peeking at Kalyan from behind his hand. Smiling widely.

"That's an awful thing to say!", Dean protested. "We have internet. We can chat when you feel like it!"
