3 - Why did you disappear in thin air?

"I'm sure you will" Kalyan glanced at him. He had put a towel around his waist for now. "...I have a confession to make, by the way. Since you're totally happy to see me naked"

"...That doesn't make sense" Castiel sighed deeply. "But I'm probably not made to feel that kind of stuff. ... I'm a bit weird I guess"

Balthazar had swiftly done the same thing, and had gotten up, his towel tied around his hips. He tilted his head, and put his hands on his hips. "I'm listening", he encouraged him with a gesture, sincerely curious.

"Nah. There are people that just aren't into that. It's fine", Dean reassured him. "It just makes you a bit different!" Well. That was a way more adult way to react than the one he would have had years before!

"When you left..." Kalyan scratched his cheek, a bit embarrassed. "Well. I had planned to go... further, with you"

Castiel did look relieved a bit. No, even a lot. "Thanks, Dean. That means a lot to me." Because for years, he had struggled with what Dean had told to him. But now, he was finally at peace

"... oh." Balthazar remained... speechless. Like honest to God speechless, his mouth hanging slightly open with utter shock. Had he heard right? Kalyan had wished he could go... further, with him? Really? He finally got a hold of himself, and scratched his arm, looking away. He felt a bit embarrassed - and even more stupid for leaving now. "Oh. I'm... well. Now I feel stupid", he said with a small laugh. "On my side, I had decided I would have waited, instead. You know. To make it... meaningful and special." He looked back at Kalyan, smiling a bit. "Not that I would have refused you, if you had asked."

"Hey, no problem", Dean answered with a large smile, happy to see that his effort to grow up had paid off! "Glad to know I can say also good stuff, and not only be a jackass", he added with a laugh, raising a brow at Castiel.

"I know it would have been meaningful and special" He frowned though, a bit upset. "Balthazar, how many relationships did you have, when you were away?"

"You were never 'not only a jackass'" Cass sighed and looked at his friend, right in the eyes. "I mean you are someone special, Dean. And it's because you're special that it was so difficult to me and that I couldn't... I don't know. I couldn't take it as a harmless joke"

Balthazar frowned slightly. And then, he sighed, and turned away. He wasn't proud of himself. "I... I didn't have a 'relationship', per se", he murmured. "I don't want to lie to you. I had sex with some people. I think at least four, or five. I wouldn't know", he added, covering up his face. "Usually it was always the same people, but it was so meaningless to me the faces are kind of blurry. I'm... not happy, with what I did."

Dean got lost for a second - those eyes were so blue, they were almost hypnotic -, and could only let out a small sound of understanding. "... I see", he murmured, scratching his neck in a nervous gesture. "Still. Sorry. I mean, you're special to me too. It felt bad when you went away."

"I wouldn't be happy if I was you too" Kalyan did give him a light slap on the head, to punish him. "Especially since you just hurt yourself, doing that. You should have looked for a real relationship"

"You deserved it" Castiel squinted again. "Don't you think it didn't hurt me too. And you'll have to invite me to the restaurant. It's Charlie who said so" ** ZBAF **

Balthazar let out a soft 'ouch' as a protest, even fully knowing that he deserved that. He massaged his head, throwing a glance at Kalyan. And an apologetic smile. "It's not easy to look for an actual relationship, when no one feels like the right person." And he didn't add it, but he could only keep comparing his dates to all the fun he had with Kalyan, and nothing felt quite as good as that.

Dean blinked. "... Charlie told you that, huh", he said then, squinting. He sighed deeply, shaking his head. "That one will hear from me. But yeah, yeah, fine - I'll get you to a restaurant. Happy?" He actually wanted to invite him out, he was just a bit sour because it was Charlie who had suggested it!

"You should not sleep with someone if they are not people you like" Kalyan grumbled, a bit upset. "Ok let's go shower now. I won't bug you with that kind of question"

"And she said you'll have to invite me somewhere they don't only sell burgers" Castiel added, with a tiny smile on his lips. Well Dean was really listening to Charlie!

Balthazar let a small sigh escape from his lips. He probably shouldn't have talked about it - but he felt like, if he had lied, it would have been even worse. And he was grateful for not having to talk about it anymore, since he didn't want to talk about him being physical, and needing to let some steam out sometimes because he felt alone. He followed Kalyan to the showers, without saying anything.

Dean groaned, a bit theatrically. "Oh, c'mon", he groaned. "Burgers are great! What does she have against burgers? Now I'll have to find an actual place, where I will have to actually make some effort to look alright!" He was joking, of course. In fact, there was a tiny smile pulling at his lips.

Kalyan glanced at him, a bit worried. He kinda hoped Balthazar was not feeling too bad about everything. Especially since himself was not good at talking.
He took away his towel and went under water, before laughing a bit. "I'm naked and you made no comment!"

"And maybe you'll have to eat vegetables" Castiel added, very seriously. "Can you imagine, to have a healthy meal, for once!"

Balthazar had gotten distracted by his grim thoughts. He got a bit startled when he heard Kalyan laugh, and blinked, before shooting him one of his best smiles. "I thought my comments were embarrassing you", he teased him. "Do you mean you like it instead?"

Dean shook his head. "The very thought feels me with sorrow. Vegetables, a meal that is not closed between to pieces of bread... that sounds like a real disgrace."

"I mean it feels more... like you, when you are commenting" Kalyan laughed, relieved to see the glint in his eyes. "But be careful : I'm still a deadly man!"

Castiel laughed heartily. Well he had missed that man a lot. "You know, we could go to a place that cooks delicious steaks. Even without breads around, it should be at your taste"

Balthazar's smile became more sultry. "I know you are. That's part of your charm, sweetheart", he added with a wink. "Besides, you are definitely deadly for my heart. Because that", he added, gesturing towards Kalyan's fit body, "is definitely going to get me a stroke."

Dean grinned happily. "A man after my own heart", he commented. "I'll never say no to a good steak! If that counts as a no burger, appropriate restaurant then it's settled! Are you agreeing?" He seemed far too enthusiastic about that.

"Hmmm maybe" Kalyan sticked his tongue out and went on with washing himself. "But I'm glad you didn't... stare at the lower half. You're acting like you're all about lust. But you truly respect me"

"We have a deal here" Castiel had a gentle smile on his lips now. "When do you want us to go out?"

Balthazar laughed and started to wash himself as well, after he had stepped out of his towel. "Ah, damn it. You saw right through me. I was trying so hard to give you the wrong impression! And instead, you found out I am a perfect gentleman. I am so ashamed." He chuckled.

Dean scratched his chin, thinking about it. "Well, the garage is closed on Sundays", he reflected. "We could go out Saturday evening, if you want. If you ever feel like getting out during the week, I must warn you - I never have the time for more than a beer and a chat. But I'd never say no anyway!", he added right away.

"Are you now?" Kalyan raised a brow, quite amused. "But yeah I think you are. You were never rude when we went out together"

"I won't have time, I'm a doctor" Castiel sighed. "But saturday seems perfect to me. And you will be able to sleep on sunday. You still love to oversleep?"

"Being rude is not my style", Balthazar agreed, thoroughly washing himself. He got a bit distracted for a second as he reached for his shampoo, and rinsed himself. "That's more Luci's style, if you ask me. ... well, not even 'rude', I guess. Luci's just Luci."

"Is the Sun a star?", Dean asked back, ironically. "Dude, of course I love to oversleep. I get up at six every other morning, let me crash in at least one day per week!" He raised a brow. "And you? Still sleeping too little for it to be considered healthy?"

Kalyan kept silent for a bit. Well he even waited to be wrapped in a towel to confess. "I met with your brother. Lucien"

"..." Castiel looked embarrassed. "I tried to cure myself but... This insomnia is terrible. And I know I'm not the only one in the family who have this"

Balthazar was already drying up his hair with another towel - after tying one around his hips - when he heard those words. He stopped abruptly, and raised his gaze. Saying that his expression was shocked would have been the understatement of the year, really. "... you what?", he asked, frowning deeply. "Why? What happened?"

"That sounds bad", Dean observed, tilting his head. "Maybe you don't relax enough, though. You have always had problems with that, from what I remember. Take it easy!" He had always been a bit worried about that.

"He needed a bodyguard at one point, and asked us" Kalyan shrugged. "I understood he was your brother during the mission. Because you know, he goes with the name of 'Lucifer' now"

"That's...." Castiel massaged his neck, still embarrassed. "That's not possible. Or maybe when I will be sure Balth is ok?"

Balthazar froze slightly. He sighed soon though, and shook his head as he fished in his bag to get some clean clothes. "He always liked to call himself that, that self-centered jerk", he rolled his eyes. "He liked it because it made our mother go mad and scream until she was purple. I guess it was just a matter of time until he fully embraced this... side of himself." He turned to Kalyan again. "What... who did he need protection from?" Well, he was curious.

Dean smiled at him. "I understand the feeling. I wouldn't be able to rest well either, if I didn't know my brother's whereabouts, or if he was doing alright. I wonder what your brother did all this time away!"

"To be honest? I'm not sure he really needed protection" Kalyan shrugged. "I think he tried to hire us for good, because we are strong. And... he almost convinced us, I guess. That guy is very... persuasive"

"Hm. He became insanly rich" Castiel said with no shame at all. "But not with disturbing business. I mean... not criminal. Or porn" ** BAF **

"Yeah. Guess persuasion runs in the family", Balthazar murmured, clearly displeased with how the conversation was going. Well, he didn't like to remember he maybe had gotten one of his best qualities from that one brother.

Dean choked on his beer. Half with laughter (for the porn mention), half with surprise. "He became rich!?", he exclaimed, when he was finally done coughing his lungs up. "When - how?" His shock was understandable. After all, Balthazar had gone oversea with basically nothing, and now he came back rich? Damn!

"But we didn't say yes" Kalyan looked at Balthazar, a bit worried for him. "And hey. What I learnt with him is that you are nothing alike. You're foolish, you're kind, you're here for people you love. You won't sacrifice me, for example"

"I have no idea? I'll ask him tonight and tell you, if you are interested" Castiel said with a smile. "Even if I'm pretty sure he became rich because he is talented"
