Undercover (Yvonne+Donovan)

Yvonne chuckled softly. "And it seems I have the habit to fall for people that make me smile then~" She caressed his hand, her gaze soft.

Donovan smiled and brought her hand to his lips. "How about you tell me a bit about your hobbies, then?"

Yvonne let him kiss her hand, rising an eyebrow smiling. "You mean, aside from... how did you call it, 'the fancy way of swordfighting'?" She chuckled. "I like to read. It is one of the few hobbies I could keep. I used to have lots of fancy hobbies when I lived with my parents though", she smiled. "What about you?" With that, she brought his hand to her lips, kissing his knuckles. If he could, why couldn't she?

Donovan's smile became a bit more shy when she kissed his knuckles. He wasn't used to that with women. But the feeling wasn't completely new either. He pushed those thoughts away, and just answered her. "I like plenty of things. Walking, talking, sports..." he sighed. "I quite enjoyed swimming too, but it's out of my range now."

Yvonne nodded, still holding his hand, but resting them back on the table, so he could choose to let it go if he wanted. "Taking walks is very nice. Especially if the scenery and the company are good! I love to take long ones by the sea, when I can." She smiled, gently making fun of him. "Aw, that is true, what a shame. How will you survive in the SPA?"

"Well, I bet I won't drown in the sauna," he said with a smile. "Or I do hope they have, well... facilities for devil fruit users."

Yvonne chuckled. "No, I guess it is pretty difficult to drown in a sauna, indeed." She tapped her chin. "Hm, maybe they have. I am not sure. Maybe I will ask." She smiled at him then. "Now, I really love to talk with you, but maybe we should also order something to eat, or the waiters will think we got here just to flirt with each other", she joked, winking at him.

"...Wait, you mean that's not why we came?" he asked, before he held back a laugh and finally let go of her hand, to order some food.

Yvonne chuckled and nodded, now paying attention to the waiter.

The dinner passed between laughs and random pieces of informations and past stories. Yvonne felt as if she was a teenager again, laughing at each joke, and joking back herself. She wasn't regretting that dinner. Quite the contrary, she was really thanking herself for having accepted that invitation. Donovan was so easy to talk to now, and he could make her smile so easily too. She was now quietly finishing her dessert, enjoying also that small moment of quiet.

Donovan remained quiet too, for a little while. After all, they had spent the entire evening talking. He even looked outside for a few minutes, before he smiled yet again. "How about a walk on the beach, before we head back ?" he asked her.

Yvonne looked outside too, then smiled back at him. "I'd love to." She rested her free hand on the table, putting down her fork with a satisfied sigh. "I ate really well."

"Me too," smiled Donovan, as he gestured for someone to bring him the bill. "I'll pay, and then we will go, alright ?"

"Alright. Are you sure you want to pay all by yourself?" Yvonne felt compelled to ask, as she gestured to reach for her bag. She didn't want him to feel like he had to pay for everything just because she was a woman, or because he had prromised.

Donovan laughed kindly. "Yes, Yvonne, it's ok. I'm the one who invited you on a date," he said as he winked to her. He then paid everything to the waiter, then offered his hand as he stood up.

Yvonne smiled again, accepting his hand to get up after picking up her bag and wearing back her jacket. She let him guide her out of the restaurant, her fingers entwined with his.

Donovan didn't intend to let go of her hand at all. He actually kept her hand in his through all the way, walking with her on the beach, calmly, not saying a word for a while. He walked close to her thought, a smile on his lips.

Yvonne remained silent too, treasuring that nice, quiet walk. She gazed at the beautiful view of the dark sea, and the night sky full of stars. She looked at Donovan too. He looked pretty handsome too, in that kind of light... She looked away almost immediately, scolding herself. She had sounded like a little girl, in her head.

Donovan caught sight of her movement, and smiled kindly at her. "Is everything alright ?" He asked, as he stopped walking, trying to bring her closer.

"Oh... yes." Yvonne smiled at him, a bit shyly. She let him bring her a bit closer. "I was just thinking that you... look very nice, under the moonlight." She laughed, embarrassed by herself. "It is pretty silly, isn't it?"

"Not really," he answered her, as he put a strand of her hair behind her ear. "You do look beautiful under the moonlight," he whispered to her. Was he moving even closer ? Yes. Leaning towards her slowly, as if he was wondering if she'd let him kiss him ? Absolutely.

Yvonne could feel her heart loudly thumping against her ribcage. One part of her brain was asking what exactly did that soon-to-be kiss mean. Was she just being another woman that he took to that place and romanced? Should she had gently denied it? The other part of her brain was frankly not caring about all of that. She just tilted her head slightly, her eyes fluttering closed as their lips met.

Donovan kissed her tenderly, and slowly cuped her cheek as he pulled her a little closer. Granted, he was used to take women on dates, but this time felt different to him. Mostly because it was as if he had started a new life.

Yvonne rested one of her hands on Donovan's shoulders, kissing him back just as tenderly as her other hand lightly played with his hair, leaning into his touch.

Donovan finally pulled back at some point, to breathe again. Then he smiled to her, as he kindly caressed her cheek. "Thank you, Yvonne," he whispered softly.

Yvonne breathed too, letting out a small chuckle. "And for what?", she asked gently, her hand softly resting on his. She was quite sure she was a bit red at the moment. She almost looked away from him.
