Undercover (Yvonne+Donovan)

Donovan smiled back at her. "It is. I hope you'll like it," he told her as he got out of the car, to open her door. "Madame," he greeted her, as he offered her his arm once more.

Yvonne chuckled, accepting his arm once again. "My, you are really trying hard~ I feel guilty for making fun of you now. Maybe I should step up my game too!" She faked an ashamed expression, her other hand on her chest.

"I can't wait to see that," Donovan replied happily, as he took her to the restaurant. It was by a cliff, so he had booked a nice table by a window, so they could watch the sea.

Yvonne looked happily at the view while they walked to the table. "It is really beautiful. I'm glad you took me here", she said, smiling brightly at him while she took place at their table.

Donovan nodded at her. "Take anything you'd like. My treat," he said with another wink. "After all, it's thanks to you that I didn't starve to death recently."

"You're too kind." Yvonne smiled again, trying to assume a more relaxed position while sitting. "I couldn't let you die on me out there now, could I? And I saw what you guys had to eat. No one deserves to live on that, er... food."

Donovan let out a smile. "True. But still, you've been really kind to me. I'll miss you when you'll get on your trip," he said with a little sigh.

Yvonne giggled. "How cute..." She rested her chin on her hand, her elbow on the table, as if she was deep in thought. Maybe that was too much to ask. But an holiday with someone she genuinely liked seemed so much better than an holiday all by herself... so why not asking? "If you'd miss me too much, why don't you come with me then?" She smiled.

Donovan blinked, surprised by her question. "Weren't you going to meet with friends, or with your daughter?"

Yvonne shrugged. "My daughter is not that easy to meet", her smile wavered a bit, "always out by the sea. But she's all big and grown up, so it's normal. I was mostly thinking to go in a place where I could relax. Place that by pure chance, is run by an old friend." She got her smile back. "Maybe I shouldn't have asked."

Donovan blinked again. "Shouldn't have asked what? ...Wait, you took that as a 'no'?! he worried, straightening on his chair.

Yvonne blinked at him, straightening up too. "Well I... yes? I can understand that maybe I asked a weird question. It is ok if you don't want to come, really." She tilted her head, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I'd love to go on a trip with you," he told her, maybe too bluntly. He sat back correctly on his chair, and cleared his throat. "I mean, it'd be fun. But we don't know each other much, and I wouldn't want you to regret that offer."

Yvonne hid her fit of laughter behind her napkin. She emerged again smiling. "Something tells me that I won't ~ and are you that sure that /you/ won't regret it instead?"

"It depends on the rest of our date," replied Donovan with a seductive smile. "Where would you want to go for our holidays, though? I'm curious."

Yvonne flashed him a seductive smile too. "Now, now, what do you mean with that, hm?" She changed her expression immediately, her usual warm, kind one replacing the mischevious one. "A friend of mine runs a great SPA on a beautiful island, not that far from here. I was thinking of that. But, if it is not your kind of thing, we can go somewhere else." She smiled at him.

"Oooh I've never been to a SPA, actually," Donovan mused, as he looked outside, a dreamish smile on his lips. "That'd be wonderful. Can we get out of the facility and walk around the island too?"

Yvonne smiled, nodding. "That's what I like about the place. You don't have to stick in the village, or in the resort. The wild spots are wonderful, too!" She sighed, a bit nostalgic.

"Then let's do that," he replied as he smiled to her. "I'd love to spend more time with you." Did his fingers brush accidentely against hers, or not ? Maybe. Maybe not.

Yvonne softly smiled back at him. She didn't refuse that light touch against her hand, accidental or not. It was welcome. "I'd love that too. You know, you were right when you said we don't know a lot about each other." She straightened up a bit. "I don't even know simple things, like, what kind of food do you like, or how old are you." She laughed.

"Then how about we learn a bit more about each other ?" he asked her with a smile, as he softly caught her fingers between hers. "I love roasted meat, and I'm 35. How about you ?"

Yvonne smiled. "I love filet with green pepper and... oh my, you're young... I am 44." Her smile got a bit shy as she looked away from him, her hand not leaving his though.

Donovan's eyes widened, and his fingers tightened just a bit around Yvonne. "For real? But you look so young!" He couldn't help but laugh kindly at that. "But wait, does that mean your daughter is almost 20?"

Yvonne turned back to look at him, smiling once again. "You flatterer. You say that just to make me happy, don't you?" Her fingers tightened around his, softly. "Actually my daughter is 21 already. That makes me feel even older!" She laughed happily.

"I was being honest with you," he said softly. "You're beautiful. And... it seems I have the habit to fall for people a bit older than me," he joked kindly.
