"You don't know her. She is terrifying", Horknath whispered, as if he was actually scared of his mother jumping out from the bushes and giving him an earful. "I mean, how do you think she managed to marry an orc and to grow me up?"

"Nah. I left the house because I wanted to see the world", Horknath said happily, kicking a rock away from his path. "And because ma and da wanted to travel too. Y'know, second honeymoon, that stuff. I wanted to give them freedom. ... ma's still scary though", he added.

"You have no idea", Horknath muttered. "And please, I hope I will run into them when they'll be done being embarrassing like teenagers at their first date!" He talked like that, but he actually really liked his parents the way there were. Colorful, just as Valdyr had said. He cleared his throat. "So, where's the next city? Or are we sleeping under the stars?"

Horknath nodded. "No problem with me. But this time I think we'll take turns. I mean... you're not my employer anymore. I don't have to use the silk gloves", he grinned, elbowing him.

"I can, doesn't mean I like it", Horknath said with a shrug. "I don't need to impress you, I am nothing but honest with what I can and cannot do. I am impressive already", he added, puffing his chest out.

Horknath punched him back with a grin. "Be very careful. I can get very difficult if I am awoken harshly", he warned him with a mocking, menacing voice.

"Yes. Yes, you should. Fear for your face because I punch pretty hard", Horknath grinned to him. "Nah, don't worry. Just, y'know, don't wake me up too suddenly, or I will seriously punch you."

Horknath nodded. "Yep. Good enough", he said, after having carefully examined the place. "And we are under wind. No beasts will try to eat us alive", he mused. "Well! You'll set the camp, I'll go hunt?", he asked then, looking at Valdyr with a smile, rubbing his hands.

Horknath blinked. Then he laughed, awkwardly, scratching his head. "Hey, my stomach is bigger than that. But yeah sorry, you're right. Habits die hard I guess", he said. "I will look for wood then. How about that?"

Horknath looked startled. "Well, I- I don't, but we do need wood, so... yeah", he finished, kinda awkwardly, before busying himself snapping branches from the nearest trees.

Horknath finally lighted up the fire, with a satisfied smile. "There", he said, letting himself fall in the ground. He opened his bag, snatched out his flask of homemade alcohol and opened it. "We totally need some of this", he told Valdyr, passing it to him.

"Hey, if you dislike it that much I can gulp it down all by myself", Horknath grumbled, taking his precious brew back. He was a bit touchy about things he did himself. Just like the time he had smashed his lute on the face of someone who had commented a bit too much on a song of his.

Horknath's face flushed red. "Sorry", he said, honestly. "My people skills are a bit rough. I, um, it is difficult to understand when someone is joking with me", he added, still embarrassed, putting his flask down between them.
