Donovan laughed kindly at the end of the evening, when Kara insisted on paying for the pins. "Come on, I'm the one who invited you there, let me cover that!"

"But I broke them!" Kara insisted, shoving her money in the hands of the owner of the place with a big smile. "And besides, I had lots of fun. I never saw someone throwing a ball with so much enthusiasm!"

"... Were you talking about me ?" asked Donovan, quite amused. It was true that he loved going bowling. Not that he was really good at it, but he enjoyed it so much.

Kara smiled at him. "And who else!" She pulled off the shoes with a satisfied noise. "I honestly think it's great to do stuff with someone that gets so into it. It makes it way more fun!"

Donovan nodded. "You seemed pretty into it yourself. I mean. I think you even beat me, if I recall well ~"

"Ah, I don't know 'bout that", Kara answered with a grin. "I mean. I demolished some stuff. I think that counts as losing, don't y'think?" She winked, laughibg.

"Well the computer still counted it as points, so you won", Donovan said with a smile, as he offered her his arm to walk back to the base.

Kara gladly accepted his arm, letting him guide her away. Her face was slightly red from all the laughing and the moving, but she felt very well. That had been a very fun evening. "Maybe we could go back again, some day!", she exclaimed.

"As soon as you wish. I quited enjoyed this evening," Donovan said to her with a kind smile. "I'm actually... relieved. It's been a while since I last got out with someone."

"Eeh, I understand. Was it a choice of yours, or it is just shortage of interesting people 'round?" Kara asked, looking at him curiously. "I am glad y'enjoyed the evening though. I really had a lot of fun", she added, answering with a kind smile of her own.

Donovan remained silent for a while, then sighed. "I guess this was a choice of mine. I let myself be drowned by work in the last few months on purpose." He still offered her a smile back, though. "I'm glad you had a good time too."

Kara limited herself in humming a bit, still keeping herself tightly latched to Donovan's arm as she walked at his side. She had always enjoyed physical contact. "It was fun, no one of our colleagues noticed us", she observed after a while.

"I bet they're counting on my comprehensiveness tomorrow morning, when none of us will get up early enough", Donovan joked kindly.

Kara laughed with him. "Well, it's not like we're going to be happy to raise early tomorrow", she observed. "I prefer to sleep 'til late, as nornal people do!" It really seemed like she wasn't half as nervous as before, which was a plus for her.

"... You mean people not working in the Marine then, right ?" Donovan asked her with another laugh, as they entered the base.

"Those, and... do y'consider 'morning people' normal? Because I don't. How can y'be happy to wake up at six?" Kara told him as she waved to the people on guard duty - she knew almost all of the recruits by name.

"Weird people," replied Donovan, as he quietly made his way back to Kara's appartments, nodding back to anyone greeting him. He wasn't too much of a social person on his own side, actually.

Kara simply smiled, chuckling at seeing hiw reserved Donovan looked. She stopped right before her room, fiddling nervously with her hands now. She looked at him. What do you say to a date, when said date has ended? "Thank y'for the nice evening", she told him with a wide smile.

Donovan smiled fondly at her back, and leaned to kiss her on the cheek. It was maybe too soon for him to decide whether or not he wanted to move forward with her, or if he'd rather keep their professionnal relationship safe. However, he could be honest with her. "Thank you, Kara. I didn't have such fun in a long time."

Kara chuckled. She found it so funny, how the spot on her cheek tingled. "What can I say. I'm glad to know that, and I had just as much fun." She smiled gently, and... yes, she leant to kiss his cheek too. She felt just comfortable enough for that. "Goodnight!"

"Goodnigh, Kara," Donovan replied with a smile, as he finally walked away from her to go back to his room, where he collapsed for a well-deserved beauty sleep.
