1 - Guardian Angel

Castiel nodded. "Sure. I mean, it won't be much, and you'll probably be texting me only, right? We'll set me up as your favourite contact, so it'll even cost less." He seemed a bit sheepish all of a sudden. "My- Raph' gave me a lecture when I got to buy my first phoning contract." More like, threatened to disown him if he didn't listen to the unending list of advice he had for him to cut off costs. It was kinda scary to have your brother as your banker.

Castiel held back a chuckle. "If you ask me, the real wonder is Michael. It's his third fiancée so far. Mom is pressing him to speed up his wedding, so that this one won't break up with him."

Castiel held back a smile himself. "Now, that's mean, Dean," he gently scolded him. In the end, he had finished his full plate of bacon and eggs while talking to the angel.

"... I'm not sure I'd like to talk about Michael's sex life," Castiel said, a bit uneasy and weirded out at the thought. "And I'm not sure I want to know why you know that much about it," he added then, as an attempt to joke it off.

"..." Castiel took the glass of water, his face a bit grim. He did remember similar words addressed to him not that long ago, from the only girlfriend he ever had, but didn't bring it up. If Dean had left him some "privacy" before that final fiasco and didn't know about that awkward moment of his life, he sure wasn't going to tell him about it.
"I should probably go back to bed," he simply said, once he had drank his glass.

Castiel accepted the help to get up, but soon let go of Dean's hand, to walk back to his own room, yawning a bit. Hell. Maybe some rest would help him!

And rest did help him. So much that he was finally able to go back to a somewhat-normal relationship with Dean, as his roommate. He did give him that phone he talked about, as well as a phoning subscription allowing the angel to text him goofy messages during the day. And Cas loved every single part of his new daily routine with the angel. In fact, it helped him relax so much that he didn't even flinch one Saturday morning when he was in the shower, and there was a knock at the door. He took his time to get out, thinking that Dean might get the door, when he froze, in his bathrobe. Wait. What if it was the landlord, suddenly thinking he was maybe hosting a friend illegally? He rushed back to the main room, his hair still damp wet.

Castiel had now stormed into the entrance, and froze when he spotted Balthazar of all people, on his doorstep. "B-Balt?" he only managed to word out, his face turning bright red.
Oh god.
Quick, say something.
Castiel cleared his throat. "Dean- it's... my brother," he explained a bit awkwardly, as if Dean was meeting Balthazar for the first time. Well. Officially he did. "Come in, Balt, that's Dean, a- friend. My roommate," he quickly added, thinking about all of the clothes he was now storing in his own bedroom for him.

"Coffee," Cas had instinctively replied first, and, upon Balthazar's last interrogation, he just... blushed. Hard. "Y-Yes," he said, moving over to the living room with Balthazar. "He's a friend. And he moved in here. To. Save rent. He sleeps on the couch," he added up a bit quickly, embarrassed to no end.

"Balt!" Castiel blushed even harder, and looked elsewhere. "I don't- It's a friend, please don't hint at anything to him- Don't flirt with him either," he warned him, suddenly a bit jealous. "I've never mentioned him because I met him recently, that's all."

Castiel remained awkwardly silent for the whole time Dean was in the room, and then ran his hands on his face once he was back to the kitchen. "Balt, it's not like that, please stop," he muttered. Heck. Balthazar was the only one he had dared to come out to, and he already regretted that idea. Sort of. He was of a helpful support when he had broken up with Meg because he had gone aware of how not-straight he was.

"I- I've been alright. Thanks to Dean", Castiel said, softening up a bit, silently thanking Balthazar. "And..." He sighed softly. "I wouldn't want him to flee me, Balt. So... sorry if I overreacted."

Castiel forced a smile. "My studies are going alright, but the job is sometimes tiring me a bit too much. I've thought about quitting, but I just can't bring myself to ask mom and dad for money."

"But- You both have expenses on your own, and... truth be told, I would feel terrible asking Gabriel for money. Knowing he'd work overtime for me just makes me feel... uneasy," Castiel told his brother, for a lack of a better word.
Well. He knew his brother was some sort of a porn star. He had seen the DVDs, after all. He still felt dirty for just looking at that cover.
