Horknath yelped, surprised. Then he coughed. Because orcs don't yelp. "Well...", he quickly explained the situation to Yvan, as well as what he and Valdyr intended to do. "... and this it it", he said, finishing with a sigh. "Eat what's left of your dinner before I decide to do it myself", he added jokingly.

"NO," Yvan protested as he began to eat, rather fast. Even Valdyr couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "Horknath, please, he'd believe anything you say."

"Dude, please. I was joking. I am full", Horknath said with a laugh. He patted his stomach. "Well, at least we'll sleep in a warm comfortable bed tonight. This building speaks at least four stars to me!"

Yvan nodded. Then sighed. "Kinda reminds me of home, though. Well. My parents' place. I'd rather leave soon."

"I'd be careful if I were you", Horknath told him. "Ash apparently is really up for staying around. I think he was pretty excited by the thought of... you know. Getting to roast some people."

Yvan sighed. "Well. I think I'll let him have his fun, to keep that sort of truce between us... How about a fine night's sleep before that?"

Horknath nodded. "Yeah, alright." He stood there awkwardly though, because since they had shooed Serah away, now they didn't know where they rooms were. Great. "Should we go all way back and ask the Inquisitor?", he asked, unsure.

Valdyr shrugged, and got down from his chair. "We'll just ask the first person we meet. And if they don't have rooms for us, well... I paid for some back at the inn," he mumbled.

Horknath nodded and got up from his own seat. He looked around, trying to spot someone to ask for direction. And by pure chance, the first person he spotted was... another dwarf. He was passing through the room, deeply immersed in a book, mumbling to himself. He noticed them though, and tilted his head. "Well. How can I help you, gentlemen?", he asked with a smile.

"We're trying to find rooms," Yvan ended up asking, because Valdyr was suddenly pretending to be really interested by the fourniture around them. Granted, he had let his beard grow a damn lot after being sent away from his kingdom, but he still couldn't be sure of who would recognize him.

"Well, you won't find 'em by standing there, will you", the dwarf observed with a smile. He scratched his stubble, then made a gesture for them to follow him, closing his book. "This way", he offered. Valdyr sure couldn't know that, but that one particular dwarf had been born very far away from his kingdom, and couldn't really care of who he was.
Horknath shrugged and followed him.

Yvan smiled. "Thanks, man. We're really, really tired. Well, I don't know if it's a side effect from that lady's poison," he said with a yawn.

The dwarf snorted, guiding them up another bunch of stairs. "Heh, Serah's sure someone you want to keep away from. That lad's got a twisted sense of humor", he said with a snicker, stopping before a door. "Your room, son", he said, nodding towards the door, looking at Yvan.

The dwarf looked at him, an eyebrow raising. "Well, just yours. We have a lot of empty spaces lately, so the Boss thought you'd be happy to have a room all for yourself."

"Gee, indeed !" Yvan smiled widely, and bid Horknath and Valdyr goodnight, before he rushed for his bed.

"... Are we allowed to leave this building by the way, or not?" Asked Valdyr, a bit nervously.

The dwarf guided them onwards along the corridor. "Everyone can come and leave whenever they want", he just answered. "Me, I am basically never here. So, yes, my overly suspicious friend from the East, you can leave whenever you wish", he smiled as he opened another door. "Your room, big man", he said to Horknath.

Valdyr nodded, then looked at Horknath. "I'll go back to the inn. I'll be brief." Because, of course, since he had put his bags safe in the rooms he had booked, he needed to fetch them.

Horknath nodded at him, eyeing the other dwarf warily before getting in his room.
The dwarf smiled at Valdyr. "A'ight. If you'll look for your room, it's that one", he said, pointing at the door next to Horknath's. "Need a guide to get back to that inn or you can do it all by yourself?"

"Nah. I'll be fine by myself," Valdyr replied. "Where's the way out? Don't get me wrong, but I was kind of... sleeping when I entered this place," he added a bit sourly.

The dwarf snorted. "I'll guide you there", he said, walking to the end of the corridor and to yet another staircase. "This place is a maze, honest. And that's something, if told by someone that had to stick their nose in elvish palaces", he muttered.

The dwarf groaned loudly. "Not only that, but they get incredibly shitty if you make them notice you're noth a fucking rabbit that eats green stuff. Don't even remind me that - it's just incredible what one does for work. Then people ask me why I left the merchant guild. Elves are just a bunch of tree-hugging weirdos at best." He took Valdyr to the main door.

The dwarf smiled. "I'm from the West. Yeah, I know, don't have much of an accent", he said merrily. "But I can't say I've been home for long. I am a free spirit", he added, gesturing for the horizon outside the main door. The sky was dark now, and the city was just near enough.
